今年退休的陳金鋒多年來在國際棒球賽事中為台灣揮出許多驚喜與感動，是台灣民眾心目中的英雄，今年國慶典禮特別安排他與台北市東園國小少棒隊一起領唱國歌。
陳金鋒10日一早就到國慶典禮現場彩排，他在接受訪問時表示，他很高興、也很榮幸有機會參加國慶典禮，對於自己能領唱，很開心，也很緊張。
在被問到花了多少時間練習，陳金鋒說，大約練了10天，但沒有什麼特別訓練，就跟小朋友一起唱歌而已。
陳金鋒是台灣第一位登上美國職棒大聯盟的球員，也代表中華隊參加大小國際賽事，但是陳金鋒覺得領唱國歌要比打球緊張多了。陳金鋒：『(原音)唱國歌比較緊張吧，打球我覺得還好，應該沒有這麼緊張過吧。』
陳金鋒還透露，他緊張到連和他一起領唱國歌的小朋友都笑他笑不出來。
